Assistant Manager - Chest Pain Unit
St. Anthony's Medical Center

Job Details:
Responsible for the Chest Pain Unit patient care area, and has a dedicated shift responsibility for patient care and unit operations. The position shares both a clinical (70% of time) and non-clinical (30% of time) role. Manages resources on assigned shift in a manner that results in improvement of quality patient care and a safe environment. Ensures appropriate staffing on the assigned shifts so the integrity of patient care is maintained. Involved in patient throughput by addressing utilization of unit beds by implementing discharge and admission needs of patients. Participates in the staff development, skills and competency by working with the Nurse Manager in planning, and implementation that enhance the clinical competency of staff. Participates in the budget planning process by making recommendations to the Nurse Manager concerning personnel and equipment. Must have minimum of 3 years of staff nurse experience within the past ten years and be able to work effectively with a variety of clinical software programs. Must posses excellent customer service and organization skills. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN, or actively pursuing, and Missouri RN license. Must work weekend and holiday rotation as required.
